We are a close-knit team of highly experienced individuals, dedicated to delivering innovative and technically astute solutions, coupled with high levels of service. We work as a team and motivate each other to reach and maintain the highest standards.

Simon Jeffs

Managing Director

Simon gained an Honours Degree in Aeromechanical Systems Engineering from Cranfield, with the Engineering branch of the RAF. Since then, Simon’s whole working life has been involved with commercial aircraft gas turbine engines and components.

Simon set up Orange Aero in 1994 recruiting a dynamic and loyal team around him.

Simon is married and enjoys motor racing, skiing, flying, kayaking and clay pigeon shooting.

Malcolm has been executive sales director of Orange Aero since 2011. Prior to this his previous roles have been as Sales Manager and Facilities Manager.

Throughout his career Malcolm has always been involved with sales and marketing in executive management roles. On leaving school Malcolm served an apprenticeship with GKN and more recently Malcolm gained a Master of Business Administration degree from Oxford Brookes University.

Malcolm is married with two daughters and his interests include motorcycling, motorsports, mountain biking and clay pigeon shooting.

Laura Oborne

Powerplant & Materiel Manager

Laura joined Orange Aero in 2009 and is responsible for all aspects of inventory management, including component repairs, purchasing, and engine disassembly.

Laura has progressed through the company across a range of roles and departments, giving her an in-depth understanding of our organisation and the aerospace industry as a whole.

Laura is married with two children and enjoys dog training, craft projects, and crocheting. She also serves as the Secretary and Safeguarding Officer for a local cricket club.

Glen is an aeronautical engineer with over 25 years of experience in the aerospace sector. He began his aviation career in MRO before progressing into engine development and subsystem design and has also been actively involved in aerospace component manufacturing.

More recently, Glen has worked as a product manager in the medical devices sector, applying his systems engineering expertise to drive effective product development.

Glen is passionate about his family, rugby and mountain biking and is equally committed to his professional work.
